To Add a Photo or Text Subsection to a report section, click on the link at the end of the Section that you wish to add the new Subsection to.
The following 'Add New Subsection' dialog will appear with settings as described below:
Name for New Subsection (Title)
Enter a name for the new Subsection. The name will be displayed in the Report Outline Panel and will also be what is used in the Table of Contents and on the report pages. The Subsection name (title) is required.
A Subsection can either a Text Paragraph, a group of Photos or a Free Style Page with descriptions below:
Text Paragraph
Choose Text Paragraph content type when you want to add an area of text to the current report section. A Text Paragraph will span from left to right margins and can be of any length. If the text exceeds the page size then new report pages will automatically be added. Examples of use: Text Summary, Introductions, Descriptions, etc.
You can have as many Text Paragraph Subsections as desired within a report or report section. See Text Editor section for more information about using the rich text editing features
Photos
Choose Photos subsection type when you want add a group of photos to the current report section. You can add multiple photo subsections with different Titles (names) that can easily outline and organize your photos into topics within the report. Each individual photo can have its own accompanying comment and markup annotations. For information see sections on photo comments and markup.
Free Style Page
The Free Style Page is an option that is available for FastPhotoReports Enterprise subscriptions only. Free Style Pages can have advanced rich text features such as place anywhere Text Boxes, Picture Boxes, Checkboxes, Dropdown Lists, Tables, Shapes, Symbols and much more. See Using Free Style Pages section for more information.
Options for Photo subsections to set the targeted number of Photo columns and rows. FastPhotoReports initially automatically places your photos and comments on the report pages based on these settings. If you add long comments, photos may get 'bumped' to the next page. Options include 1 or 2 columns and up to 3 rows of photos.
There are options with individual photos to change their size and also options to span the photo across both columns. These options are available by right mouse clicking on the photo in the Report Preview tab. See Report Preview Tab for more information.
You can choose whether to include Titles and Subtitles on the report pages. Check the 'Repeat On Every Page' option to print the titles on ALL pages if the Subsection spans several pages. You can also set some styles for the Titles as described in the next item.
The Style Dropdown will allow you to choose placement and style of the Title on the report pages. The Style for both the Section Titles and Subsection Titles can be set.
You can currently set bold, underline and alignment of the Titles. FUTURE: you will also be able to set Fonts / Font Size of titles.
Checking this option will cause the new Subsection to always begin on its own new page. Unchecking this option will cause the Subsection to be displayed immediately after the previous Subsection even if in the middle of a page.
By default a new Subsection is inserted into the currently selected Section. Use this dropdown to choose a different Section to add the new Subsection to.
By default a new Subsection is inserted After the last existing Subsection within the current Section. You can control precisely where the new Subsection is inserted by using this Before or After option along with selected an existing Subsection in following dropdown (Item 10)
Choose where to insert the new Subsection in relation to an existing Subsection using this dropdown. If you changed the Parent Section, this dropdown will update to include the existing Subsections in that newly selected Parent Section.
